Glass Cloth Electrical Tape
Glass fiber tape is made of high temperature resistant and high strength glass fiber yarn, which is processed by special process.It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, good insulation performance and strong corrosion resistance. It can be used for filling and binding insulation materials of transformers, motors, electrical appliances and cables. Its main component is aluminoborosilicate (E-glass), and the content of alkali metal oxides such as potassium oxide and sodium oxide is not more than 0.8%. According to their different functions, glass fiber ribbon can be divided into ordinary type, reinforced type and reinforced bulky yarn type. The difference between ordinary type and reinforced type is mainly due to the different sizing agent used in drawing glass fiber precursor, which determines the important difference in the use of products. Reinforced bulky yarn is a kind of ribbon formed by expanding glass fiber and then weaving.
According to different materials, glass fiber belt can be divided into alkali glass fiber belt, alkali free glass fiber belt and
alkali free wax free glass fiber belt.

Features and Applications  

1. It has high tensile strength and length stability, non combustion, and the maximum temperature resistance is 600 ºC.
2. It has good electrical insulation performance and aging resistance;
3. Light weight, heat resistance, small heat capacity, low thermal conductivity, soft and good heat insulation;
4. The glass fiber belt does not absorb water, does not corrode, does not mildew, does not moth, is not easy to scatter;
5. Good sound absorption, higher than NRC average requirements.
