Product Description
A leak-sealing kit containing a 5cm x 150cm / 2in x 60in fiberglass pre-impregnated wrap which is activated by water. Packaged in a hermetically sealed foil pouch, it is ready to use and does not require any measuring or mixing.
It is odourless and very simple to apply. This material bonds well to copper, steel, SS, PVC and many other substrates. It is a versatile solution for industries where quick-action pipe repairs are critical.
Operation of Orthopedic Fiberglass Casting Tape:
1.Shut off the pressure and isolate leak. Clean, degrease and abrade substrate around leak site.
2.Work putty until a uniform mixture is evident.
3.Apply mixed putty immediately to leak site. Firmly press putty into defect.
4.Put on gloves supplied with the Pipe Repair Bandage. Immerse Bandage in water or place underrunningtap water for 10 secs.
5.Wrap the Bandage tautly around the leak site extending 50mm either side of damaged area.
6.Smooth the resin as it foams during curing and work resin into the base fabric in a ´tightening motion.Restore pipe to service once Bandage is cured.
Storage & Warranty
- Be careful not to break the packaging
- Stored in a cool, dry and ventilated atmosphere. The proper temperature is 15-30ºC and the humidity should be less than RH60%.
- Shelf-life: 2 years
